Initially, I designed this base to cool my Mavic Mini, which, as it does not have static ventilation, only dynamic ventilation (that is, in flight), got very hot when downloading images and especially during firmware updates.
My surprise was that when testing this base on other sub 250 drones, I found that all drones that have a ventilation inlet at the front, behind the camera and a hot air outlet at the rear can rest on this base, as the important thing is the heat sink. receive outside air.
I believe that this accessory will help a lot of people not to lose their drone due to its core board burning out: you realize that something is wrong when it loses the signal between the controller and the drone a few meters away. I sincerely hope this helps and would be happy for feedback to improve this.
As I incurred costs with purchasing the printer, plus a modeling course and materials, I hope you understand that it required me to charge for the use of the STL files and if I wish to sell the piece, I don’t see any problem.
Assembly instructions:
It’s simple, just combine the letters, for example “A” with “A” and so on.
There is no need to use screws and there is a purposeful gap so that it can be glued to the walls, low density foam S.V.F. “Athylene Vinyl Acetate or Satin Vinyl Foam” to avoid unwanted vibrations.
The recommended cooler is the 4020 12V model (40mm x 40mm x 20mm) and the power source is bivolt 12V 2A.
