Can I start my Potensic drone once I take it out of the box? #
Your Potensic drone has a new battery that’s in hibernation mode out of the box. That means you need to wake it up.
It’s a straightforward process, only requiring a charge for a certain period.
How long?
Well, that depends on each drone too. We have an article on charging Potensic drones as the manufacturer dictates: link. Check it out!
If your Potensic drone isn’t brand new, it’s advisable to charge it and its remote controller fully before starting it. That way, you can fly it for longer.
Other considerations before starting your Potensic drone #
Potensic app #
Aside from the remote controller and drone battery, you should consider if your drone uses an app to fly.
Regardless of whether your drone uses the Potensic Pro, Potensic-G, or another app, the app must be up to date. Otherwise, you will have a harder time starting your Potensic drone.
Do all Potensic drones use a mobile app? Only the models with cameras.
Calibration #
Another critical step to consider before starting or taking off is the drone’s calibration. You should always calibrate it before first use to avoid incidents.
If you skip this step, your drone won’t know where the north is, so controlling it will be a nightmare.
As a safety barrier, Potensic prompts you to calibrate your drone before taking off. Be extremely careful with drones that don’t use a Potensic mobile app, as you won’t receive any warning.
