A conversation about the best drones for beginners often revolves around Snaptain and Holystone drones. Learning how to fly a drone may be challenging and even difficult for some. However, using beginner-friendly drones such as Snaptain or Holystone can make the process easier. You may be wondering, of the two drones, which one is better?

**Snaptain offers some of the best beginner drones. They have features simple enough for a beginner to use, and that also make it easier to learn to fly. Holystone drones come with a few more advanced features, and are also beginner-friendly, but cost slightly more than comparable Snaptain drones. **

Snaptain and Holystone have various models of drones. Although they have slight variations in their features, both companies offer drones that have user-friendly interfaces. If you are thinking of buying your child (or yourself!) a drone, these two brands are your go-to for beginners.

Characteristics of the Holystone HS720E #

Here are a few characteristics of this quadcopter.

1. Camera #

The drone has a 1080p camera with image stabilization features. It is capable of producing 4K photos. Unfortunately, this drone doesn’t come with a TF card.

It also shoots 1080p 4K videos. The camera comes with a built-in shock absorption holder, which ensures that camera vibrations will not affect your picture or video quality.

2. GPS assisted intelligent flight #

This drone uses GPS assisted intelligent flight. It also includes an auto-return feature that ensures that your drone returns to its launching point at the press of a button.

This feature also ensures that the drone returns to its launching point if it loses the remote control signal or when it has a low battery. GPS ensures that you keep track of your drone, and also provides a more stable flight experience.

3. Operation #

It is relatively easy to operate this drone. For instance, it has one button for the start and stop commands. It is also equipped with sensors which make it have excellent hovering stability.

4. Electrical Image stabilization #

Holystone HS720E comes equipped with a 4K Electrical Image Stabilization feature on their cameras. With this feature, the camera can record more stable videos. It also ensures that ripple distortion is removed from the images in case the camera shakes.

5. Flight Time  #

The Holystone HS720E quadcopter has a flight time of 46 minutes. This is a long time compared to other models. This extended flight time is made possible with the presence of two intelligent lithium polymer batteries.

The drone also uses brushless motors, which consume significantly lower power, lengthening the flight time.

6. Controller #

If you use a 2.4GHz transmitter for this drone, you will have a control range of close to 3000 feet. Additionally, you can fly the drone at night since it comes fitted with LED lights.

Pros of the Holystone HS720E #

Advantages of this drone include:

Cons of the Holystone HS720E drone #

Here are some disadvantages of this quadcopter.

  • It has a very long battery charge time of almost 7 hours.
  • You have to register this drone before flying it. This is because it weighs more than the maximum weight of drones allowed to fly with no registration. Drones weighing less than 250grams can fly with no registration. A Holystone quadcopter weighs 482grams.

Snaptain Vs. Holystone: Which Drone Is Better?  #

To compare these two drones, you will need to examine the features of each before deciding which one is better than the other.

If you are new to drone matters, I would advise you to go for the Snaptain drone since it has a very friendly user interface. Holystone is easy to use as well, but some features may be too advanced for a beginner.

If you prefer drones with longer flight times, consider getting the Holystone model. Forty-six minutes of flight time is impressive. In terms of prices, both drones are reasonably priced, but if you are on a tight budget, I would advise you to choose a Snaptain brand.

If you want a drone that’s energy-efficient, then consider Snaptain drones. A Holystone HS720E uses two batteries that have to charge for at least 5 hours. Imagine the energy consumption, and the long wait time.

To help in a side by side comparison, here is a simple table of the features of the Snaptain SP650 1080P and the Holystone HS720E.
