After noticing that all of my LiPos were more beat up on the bottom than they were on the top, I set off on a mission to design something that would stop the LiPo abuse! 1300mah 4s(and 3s) LiPos aren’t cheap so you want them to last as long as possible especially if you’re on a tight budget like I am. That means adequately protecting them during crashes. The LiPo battery pad I designed functions similar to the gel pads that many people use as it simply elevates the battery above the bolts which will dent it upon impact. Unlike other gel pads though, this one is specially designed for the ZMR250 and simply snaps into the top plate! The upper pad functions to protect the battery in the event of an upside down crash, scrape of a tree branch. It also has triangular shock absorbing protrusions at the front and back which protect the upper edges of the battery which are also parts that often get damaged in a crash. Lastly, the upper pad increases the surface area of the lipo strap ensuring that it doesn’t fly off during a crash or in flight.
