If you’re looking for a great drone perfect for beginners and advanced pilots, you should check out Bugs 5W.

It has impressive features like brushless motors that make it powerful and reliable, a 4K WiFi camera that gives crystal clear video footage, and 2.4 GHz two-way communication technology that makes it easy to fly.

Is it worth buying this drone?

Yes, it is a high-quality drone that comes reasonably priced and features a good camera, GPS, and RTH system.

**In addition, the drone’s size is ideal for people who are pressed for space because it only requires a minimal amount of room on a shelf or workspace. **

As a proud owner of this drone, I recommend looking into the Bugs 5W if you want a drone that is not only powerful but also user-friendly and affordable.

Overall Quality #

The MJX Bugs 5W is a fantastic drone with many features and a flight performance that will amaze you.

The ease of use and stable flight make it perfect for beginners and even more experienced pilots who want an easy-to-control device without spending too much money.

Flight Performance #

The MJX Bugs 5W is a very agile drone that can easily reach speeds up to 37 mph (60 km/h).

It has a flight time of about 15 minutes which is suitable for most people; however, some pilots have reported that they had to charge their MJX Bugs 5W after every few flights because the battery would run out of power quickly.

It comes with an 1800 mAh LiPo battery, which provides enough power for the MJX Bugs 5W to fly for approximately 15 minutes if you are flying slowly and approximately 10 minutes if you are flying at max speed.

The range of this drone is up to 0.6 miles (1,000m), which is suitable for most situations.

Ease of Use #

Your smartphone or tablet is required to take control of this drone, making its operation effortless and straightforward.

Once you’ve downloaded the app from the App Store or Google Play store, connect your device to the drone and begin flying.

Camera #

The Bugs 5W has an onboard 4K WiFi camera. It will enable you to enjoy the scenery from above. You can link the camera using the “M RC PRO” smartphone app.

The camera isn’t a true 4K one, so the quality and resolution of your videos may be lower. Keep in mind that this is not a photographer’s drone, but a hobbyist’s.

You may get oscillations or jelliness in the footage, but shakiness won’t bother you when you are mainly going to play for entertainment.

Flight Mode Features #

The MJX Bugs 5W has a few smart flight modes, which are helpful.

First, you have the standard flight mode, where you can control the drone in a fixed direction and not move it at all.

Next up is the waypoint mode, which allows you to set up pre-programmed locations on your phone or tablet that will trigger specific actions when the drone reaches that location.

You can use this to take selfies from a specific spot and record a video of yourself flying around.

The last smart flight mode is called Follow Me, where you can set up two points in space (up to 40m apart), and as long as both points are within range of your transmitter, the drone will fly between them.

This is useful for filming yourself flying around.

The MJX Bugs 5W also comes with features such as Return to Home and Headless Mode, which are both great for safety reasons.

Bugs 5W Remote Controller #

The MJX Bugs 5W 4K Quadcopter comes with a remote controller that has an LCD screen and a built-in phone holder.

The remote controller can take control of the drone in flight, start or stop recording video, switch on/off GPS, and perform other essential functions.

MJX Bugs 5W Features: #

  • 2.4GHz radio controller
  • 7.4V and 1800mAh LiPo battery

Pros & Cons #

The Bugs 5W could be the ideal drone for you if you’re starting and want something simple to operate.

It has a one-axis gimbal that is simple to operate and ensures that images are stable, and its range is sufficient for most applications.

However, the flight duration is not particularly long, so it may not be ideal if you need something that can stay in the air for an extended period.
